Some years ago when I worked with winemaker John Harris at Domaine Chandon in the Yarra Valley. After leaving John joined forces with his wife’s family and they launched Mitchell Harris Wines, using predominantly Pyrenees fruit. A few years ago they opened a cellar door/restaurant/shop in Ballarat, and I stopped in on the way back from Dunkeld recently.
